About CKC

CKC Dance Academy was founded in 2001 by co-directors, Crystal Dionne, Kristy Ripa and Colette Coulon, as a comprehensive dance studio offering instruction in the major disciplines of dance -- ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, musical theater, and hip hop. In 2014, Crystal took on the studio solo to continue the CKC tradition and family. Over the years, hundreds of students and parents have experienced how different CKC is from other dance studios.

At CKC, the main focus is and always will be the students. We pride ourselves in fostering a collaborative and nurturing environment where students can express themselves and be a part of something truly special. The students at CKC are not only remarkable dancers, but they are remarkable people as well. We encourage our dancers and provide opportunities for them to give back to their communities through charitable performances. Whether it is Team CKC walking for cancer awareness or our performance team participating in 'Dancers Making a Difference' (a non-profit organization created to raise money for those in need of food), CKC Dancers know first hand the importance of giving back.

At CKC, you will not experience cut-throat competition or teachers who only focus on their favorite students. The students of CKC understand the expectations and work hard to earn special opportunities. Every student is important and competition among students within the studio is not allowed. All students are expected to respect and encourage one another to be the best dancers they can be.

CKC Philosophy

We believe the journey towards achieving a dream is a combination of desire, enthusiasm, discipline, tenacity and inspiration. CKC Dance Academy provides an opportunity for anyone, no matter what age or level of experience, to discover the joys of dance. The benefits of dance training are not specific to students training for a career in dance. Discipline, self-control, respect, self-evaluation and critical thinking are only a few of the many life skills that dance training develops in a student. These skills are introduced in the primary levels of our curriculum and continue throughout the program. We train not only the body, but the mind and spirit as well.
